Workshop Title: Introduction to Xhosa Language and Culture
Dates: 11th September and 18th September (same workshop repeated)
As a special treat ahead of Heritage Day, our wonderful instructor, Sibulele Magini will facilitate two 3-hour Saturday morning workshops. You will learn Xhosa greetings, phrases for first meetings and farewells, as well as various insights around the culture of greetings, Xhosa first names, clan names and the 3 main Xhosa clicks. Outcomes include connecting to our Rainbow Nation, meeting interesting and interested people, strengthening your relationships with Xhosa speakers in your daily life. Materials provided include comprehensive bound notes and a pocket phrase book.
Appropriate age group: adults of any age (mature teens, from 15 years up, are also welcome)
Time: 09h00 to 12h00
