KYLE HUDSON was born and raised in Cape Town. She majored in Xhosa at Rhodes University and completed a Higher Education Diploma (postgrad) through UNISA. Kyle’s teaching career took off in Tokyo, Japan where she worked for 3 and a half years as an English trainer for corporate employees.  In 2004 Kyle returned to South Africa and translated her experience and skills to her home context: teaching Xhosa to English speakers. In time Kyle was able to apply her teaching skills in training mother-tongue Xhosa teachers and to ensuring that Xhosa Fundis become SETA accredited. She still enjoys  developing the Xhosa Fundis learning materials, which is an ongoing process. Kyle’s fascination with the Xhosa language is a great asset to her in the work she does. In particular, however, her passion lies in seeing how learning the language creates social cohesion in so many unexpected and wonderful ways!
