The benefits of private lessons

The great advantage of Private Tuition is flexibility and focus. This is in terms of lesson times and content. The instructor is able to focus specifically on the individual learner, answering his/her particular questions at length, while looking at the area of language that he/she is interested in, and going at their prefered pace.

Instructors and venues

Xhosa Fundis has a carefully selected family of well qualified and well experienced instructors who are able to teach private (or semi-private) lessons at either our language school or your home, as long as you reside within about 20 minutes from the Cape Town city bowl.

Learning Materials

Students can choose to study from our course materials, starting with Essential Social Xhosa, or they can choose their own. If required, we will happily advise learners on the range of learning materials available and what is most suitable for their level. Learning materials (course books and audio CDs) are charged separately from tuition.

Cost of Private Tuition

We try to keep the cost of private tuition as low as possible to make it a realistic option for people, however we also need to offer our qualified and experienced tutors enough to make it worth their while. Please email us at molo@new.co.za as per the following…

The procedure

1. Email us for a quote, giving your contact details (email and phone number).

2. We will contact you and if you agree to the rates…

3. We will go about identifying which of our instructors is best able to fit your needs.

4. We will email you to set up a first lesson, asking for your confirmation.

5. We bill you at the end of each month for the lessons taught.

Cancellation Policy

We require 24 hours notice for cancellation of lessons without which the fee for 1 hour of tuition will be charged. You can call 021 447 9868 or 084 843 7795 for urgent cancellations. For less urgent cancellations, please email molo@new.co.za.
